I’ve never met a veterinarian so committed to his patients as Dr. Kepner. I refer all of my friends and neighbors to this clinic. Both my dog and my cat are well cared for and he’s so flexible with emergent needs. His staff are super and the atmosphere at the clinic is fun and friendly. Six stars!

I have been taking my pets (cat and dog) to Dr. Kepner for over three years, and they continue to receive spectacular care. My dog has some special needs (thanks, Scott, for getting her all straightened out!), so we’re in the office at least once per month, and I’ve seen the comings and goings of many pet families, besides my own. Big dogs, little dogs, big cats, little cats – they’re all treated the same: lovingly. Dr. Kepner’s staff is curteous and professional, and clearly they love animals. The staff takes its lead from Dr. Kepner who is extremely knowledgeable and, himself, loving to the animals. Besides that, he’s pragmatic when it comes to cost. I’ve never been subject to an “upsell,” which I have dealt with at other clinics. When I’m there, my pets and I are treated like family. My pets are so fortunate to receive Dr. Kepner’s care!

Staff and Dr. Scott are always friendly and take good care of my cats. Dr. Scott is very knowledgeable. You can tell he knows his stuff and cares.

We love Riverview, I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else unless they recommended it! Dr.Scott can run circles around other vets! He has helped our 13 year old dog so much! Thanks Riverview!

Having had pets for decades, I’ve had the privilege to meet many wonderful veterinarians who cared for my cats and dogs. After moving to Vancouver several years ago I attempted to establish a “family doctor” for the furry kids, but just didn’t connect with any as I’d previously done in my former city. I tried the “chain” clinic and small town clinic. Both not good experiences. A groomer in Washougal detected a minor ear infection in one of my dogs and referred me to Dr. Kepner. Any doctor who will get down on the ground, assess the patient, and explain things in such a way I fully understood and trusted, has my attention. He even explained how the dog’s ear canal differs from a humans and allowed me to peek using his otoscope. Like the amazing vet I had in Scottsdale, Scott’s care was kind and conservative. I never feel like I’m being given an a la carte menu of services (like when you take your car to the dealership for repairs). He suggests, recommends, and helps to make the best decisions.
The cost of veterinary care around town is pretty consistent, however the quality of care is not. Knowing I can reach my vet by cell phone, though I’ve never called, is a bonus.

Dr Kepner has been my vet for many years. I recommend him very highly. Besides being very knowledgeable, he has a great bedside manner.
Recently, he helped my family through a very emotional experience. My daughter’s 13 year old
very tiny dog developed complications and was put to sleep in his office. He was very compassionate and understood the emotions. Thank you, Dr Kepner

We’ve gone to see Dr. Kepner since we moved to Vancouver in 2014. Our dogs are our family members – and often they receive better medical care than we do! At Riverview Animal Hospital, they receive top-notch care. We can trust Dr. Kepner’s advice, he has never steered us wrong. He’s also referred us to great specialists when needed (one of our dogs has a partially subluxed lens in his left eye).
