Riverview Animal Hospital COVID-19 update…

Due to concerns about the novel coronavirus and related disease (COVID-19), we are taking additional precautionary measures (per the recommendations of the State of Washington and the CDC) within the hospital to keep our staff, doctor, animals, and clients safe while continuing to provide essential patient care. We have increased our sanitizing protocols around the hospital for client and staff safety. All of our staff are wearing masks for your protection! Additionally, we have initiated limited contact appointments.

Below you will find further details on our new hospital protocols.

Veterinarian Appointments

  1. Please call when you arrive for your appointment and let us know what vehicle you are parked in.
  2. A staff member will come out to your vehicle and discuss the reason for your visit as well as review your pet(s) medical history.
  3. Your pet will come inside the hospital for their exam. During this time we ask that you wait outside or in your vehicle.
  4. After your pets exam our veterinarian will come out to your vehicle or meet you outside to discuss exam findings and further recommendations.
  5. We will exchange your pet inside the lobby and a staff member process payment.

 Surgery Drop offs

  1. Please call when you arrive to drop your pet off and let us know what vehicle you are parked in.
  2. A staff member will bring you into the lobby and have you fill out the necessary paperwork.
  3. You will receive a call after your pets procedure to establish a discharge time for your pet.
  4. Please call when you arrive for your pets pick up and let us know what vehicle you are parked in.
  5. We will bring you into the lobby and the veterinarian will discuss your pets procedure and review discharge instructions and any medications.
  6. A staff member will bring your pet out to the lobby and process payment.

Drop off Appointments 

  1. Please call when you arrive for your drop off appointment and let us know what vehicle you are parked in.
  2. A staff member will bring you into the lobby and have you fill out the necessary paperwork.
  3. You will receive a call after your pets exam to establish a discharge time for your pet.
  4. Please call when you arrive for your pets pick up and let us know what vehicle you are parked in.
  5. A staff member will bring your pet out to the lobby and process payment.

Technician Appointments 

(These appointments are only for Nail Trims, Vaccines, Anal Gland Expressions and Recheck Bloodwork)

  1. Please call when you arrive for your appointment and let us know what vehicle you are parked in.
  2. A staff member will have you bring your pet into the lobby.
  3. We will process payment and bring your pet back to your vehicle when services are complete.

*Masks are required for patient exchanges and when you are outside or in your vechicle speaking with a staff member. This applies even if you are vaccinated.

*If you, or anyone in your household has symptoms of illness, please let a front desk staff member know.

*Please allow for longer appointment times, as well as more limited appointment avaliability.
